Labor Day

Well today is Sept. 1st. I realized last night that this may be an emotional
month for me. Alyssa is turning 18 on the 8th. Wow, I just can't believe it. Where has 18 years gone?? HAHA I few years ago, I was counting down the days till each kid turned 18 & LEFT my house. Now, it really doesn't seem a big deal cause Caden's here. I do adore & love my little prince, but sometimes I can't help but be envious of people my age that are almost finished raising kids. Not that I would give him up for nothing in the world. Caden has brought a new purpose to my life. I felt lost before he came along & now I don't. I think it was just because Alyssa & Justin were growing up & didn't really "need" me & I felt like I was missing something cause I had nothing to "mother". Yea, sounds weird but hey-- I AM weird. LOL.

My nephew Michael goes off to boot camp on the 16th. He joined the Navy right after high school. Of course, he knew for a few years that he wanted to do that. I'm really going to miss him:/ He's been coming out every weekend to see his girlfriend & he stays here at night. He'll be gone for about a year & that's if he comes back here. He thinks after training, he will be put on a ship. I kinda have mixed emotions about the military & this war going on. I support the soldiers that are defending our freedom but not so much the war. Sounds stupid, I know but so many of our people are getting killed. I have a few online friends whose husband's are in the military or in Iraq. I can't imagine what they go through. Alyssa's best friend Cher is getting deployed next June to Iraq. That bothers me that something might happen to one of her best friends:-(

I've been working on the store. I've been stocking it with fall scents & carpet dust. I'm realizing that smelling all these different scents are giving me haedaches:/ Anyway, I'm excited about my fall line of tarts:)

Aren't they pretty?? They smell good, too!

Your tarts came our cute!
The military isnt all that bad. It gets a bad rap but in reality, its a huge family and really good. The war sucks, but that's what unfortunately the militarys job is. Its been good to us. The Navy was good to us too. My dad was in 22 years! =0)
