Parenting 103

I'm a little worried about Brandon. For those of you that don't know who he is, he's Alyssa's boyfriend of 2 years. We love & adore him, he is over here all the time even if Alyssa's not here. He loves hanging out with James & Justin.

Anyways, today Brandon was talking to me about issues he is having with his dad. Seems his step-mom & dad *were* contemplating divorce. His step-mom is mental just like my sister & for years Brandon has suffered because of this. Not abused but has had to deal with this woman that could care less about him only for the sake of having a relationship with his dad. Well Brandon told his dad point blank that he wanted a relationship with HIM & him only, not the step-mom. Brandon's tired of dealing with her moods, attitudes towards him, & telling him that he doesn't belong at his dad's house.

Honestly, I don't blame him one bit. The 1st time I met her, within 5 minutes I knew I didn't like her. I told him he was 18, old enough to take a stand & tell his dad exactly what he felt. Well he called him & his dad wanted to know what HIS problem was. @@

Oh boy. His dad already has one son that won't have anything to do with him because of the step-mom & now he's making Brandon that way too. I'm sad for Brandon. I know what it's like to cut off a family member. But I did tell him that his dad has already lost 1 son, if he's that stupid..well...

Brandon did also say that he figures she will call over here, trying to start crap with him & telling us crap about him. I asked him if she did in fact have the correct number, I would be more than happy for her to call HERE. I would straighten her ass out real quick. Besides, I heard that she was mad at Alyssa, for what I have no idea, just starting shit I guess. She better watch herself though, she doesn't want to start anything with Alyssa because she hasn't seen shit til she brings MY kid into it. Stupid bitch @@.

I just don't understand how people put wives/husbands before their own kids. I mean Brandon is s great kid, he actually WANTS to spend time with his dad, not many 18 year olds do.
